The weaving desin

Weaving Design

Weaving Design using Grass:

1. Started with a rectangle of copper square holed wire which was bigger then the tray so it over lap.

2.socked the oasis in water and trim it to fit in the tray with about 5cm more on top.

3. Now coms the hard bit........ with the grass and the design I was going to be using stat making the weaving pattern in the copper wire adding more and more to gave the copper wire shape the more you add the easier it becomes.

4. Once all the wire was cover place the wire on top of the oasis and pin in place with moss pins.

5. Now add the Anthuriums in place followed by the chins.

The end design

Cardboard Design

Cardboard design:
1. Start by rolling small stripes of corrugated cardboard and using a hot glue gun to stick in place so there stay wrap up.

2. Do this a few times all different sizes small to large.

3. Add a long length of corrugated cardboard to the top of the vase and glue in place. Once this is done you can now place the wooden sticks in the small holes of the corrugated cardboard I used 4 so that I could have a second circle near the top where the lilies heads would just pop out of.

4. Start to stick the rounds to the one on the vase in a circle pattern adding little ones to fill in the gaps.

5. Once it was in a circle on the top I got 5 lilies and strap the leaves of the ;lilies and places them in the vase filled with water and finished the design with I little brown and gold ribbon

The end design. Its a very simple design but it looks very nice, don't think the bow was needed in the end.

Free Standing Arrangment

Free Standing Arrangement:

1. With this design we had o go to the composs pile at college, which to be fair was some great fun,
we were looking for sticks different lengths and sizes colours ect.

2. Once we had the sticks t was back to class to sort them out the idea was to make a frame out of sticks and to zip tie them together easier said then done.
I started by have large sticks pointing in like a tepee and started to add more little sliver birch to it to get a round looking BUT not a tepee shape.

 3. After a few more sticks were added it got easier to stand up basally you just keep adding more sticks smaller ones to the frame until you are happy with the look of it.

4. Once I was happy with the look of the frame I added the small heads of the Onsidium Orchids with hot glue and the Small heads of the Chins all Yellow so the frame would look nice and bright I randomly places these on the frame to finished the design off.

The end design .
I REALLY like the look of the zip ties on this design its the flash of the different colour you see.

Cushion Funeral Design

Cushion Funeral Design.

1. Started with a cushion oasis pad run cold water over the cushion so the oasis is wet.

2. Added the bells of Ireland which I cut down in to smaller stems to make the most of the flower.

3. added the white Ranuculus 3 on both sides to it was the same .
4. started to add the moss by pining it into the oasis pad again same on both sides.

4.  With the sliver birch I sorted them out to see which would work for this design.

5. Once the sticks where place and I like where they were I started to weave in and out with tulips to make this the centre point.

6. Then once I had them where there look good I started to fill in the gaps with Dianthus, Moss and Crospedia.
and I few more less opened Ranuculus too.

The end result was very good the only one thing I would say was that I would of liked to have more close tulips for the end of the oasis pad but I still like the result.
This design was used for a funeral.

FAN DESIGN

Fan Design:

Flowers used:
1. Ornithogalum
2. Alstroemeria
3. Celosia
4. Craspedia
5. Moss for the base.
6. Sticks

Step 1.
Cover the square vase in black cello so you can't see the oasis though the glass.

Step 2.
Shape the oasis to fit the square and soak in water untill all cover.

Step 3.

We then had to strap all the leaves of the flowers so just the heads where showing.

Step 4
Placing the celosia in the middle so you can work out the rest of the places to stand the flowers in the oasis.  Making sure the celosia heads all line up to make a fan shape.

Step 5
Then start to add the rest of the flowers to in the oasis to get a fuller looking fan design on top.

Step 6
after I have added all the flowers to the oasis I started to add orange colour sticks to gave the stems some colour I waved this in and out of the stems and in between the flowers to have a cris cross look.

Step 7
when that was all gone I added moss to the base to cover the oasis I added the moss with pins to finish the design of.

The only thing I would change to the design now once I have finish is the orange sticks I would keep the once between the flowers just not the ones waved between the stems it looks out of place and to much.
